Last night Matt, myself, and our friend Julie headed down to a bar on the riverfront to watch The Cheeseburgers play. One of their co-workers plays guitar and sings lead in the band as well.

It was a pretty good time. We had never been to this particular bar and it was alright. It’s a great venue for bands – there’s a pretty big stage and 3 floors of seating. Drinks were kinda expensive, though, and they didn’t even have tap water! Just bottles for $2. Crazy.

Anywho, it was a pretty fun night. The Cheeseburgers are a cover band of “all the cheesy songs you love.” Things like a ZZ Top medley, complete with fake facial hair and sunglasses, a cowbell medley, and lots of other fun stuff that everyone could sing along with.

Oh yeah. There were also flaming drumsticks.

We stayed until about 11:00, because I was considering using our table as a pillow. And because I had a 6 mile run on the calendar for this morning and needed a few hours sleep for that.

Did you do anything fun this weekend?
